Uffculme School
Introduction to Key Stage 4

Director / Videographer / Producer

Since working with Uffculme School in 2020, I have been invited back a few times to work on different projects with them. This was one of the next ones that we created together. Still during the time when there was a lot of uncertainty around whether schools should be having large numbers of parents in the building, we created this video to help welcome year 10 students and their parents into Key Stage 4.

A big focus of all the films that I work on is to engage the audience and convey the core message in the most natural and interesting way possible. I am not trying to re-invent the wheel, but to make sure that we are clear and concise with the information that parents and students need, whilst also reminding them that there is certainly going to be pressure around exams and results, but there is still fun to be had and enjoyment awaiting them.

I felt that the best way to convey this would be to have some ex-students of the school share their experience of what years 10 and 11 had been like and what the current students can expect. The videos I have created with Uffculme have always been well received, and I think this is, in part, due to the fact that the audience are hearing from the people who matter most, and there is a balance between information and care.

*You may notice the Circular Productions logo on this, this is an alternative trading name that I sometimes use for videography work.
