One of my earliest projects when starting in videography was working with Uffculme School to produce a series of videos for their Open Evening event in 2020. With the whole world being shut down, and for them to be unable to have prospective parents and students in to visit the school, it was vital that something be produced to showcase the school.

Going into the project, I didn’t want to create something that was going to just be an ‘advert’ for the school, with the senior leadership team singing the praises of the place. I wanted to create an honest, heartfelt video that would enable prospective students to see what it could be like for them at the school, and for their parents to see how much they could grow from attending the school.

From this starting point, I went to work gathering interviews with students and staff, and just getting out and around the school over a couple of days to see what the experience is really like. I then spent the following 3 weeks creating 28 videos for the school to use - a full Open Evening Event and 27 subject specific videos for all curriculum and extra curricular offerings at the school.
